Nancy J. Cohen Offers 9th Annual Keynote Address
Spice up your spring with a mysterious romantic luncheon at
Vergina on 5th this April 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. when multi-published, award-winning author
Nancy J. Cohen joins the Naples Press Club for the
9th annual Writers’ Conference celebrity luncheon. She’ll discuss the digital devices that promise to morph tomorrow’s reading—and publishing—experiences. She’ll also delight and entertain attendees with anecdotes from her writing life.
Nancy earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Rochester and her master’s degree from the University of California in San Francisco. After working as a clinical nurse specialist, she retired to write full-time. She made her debut onto the publishing scene with futuristic romance novels written as Nancy Cane. Her first book, Circle of Light, won the HOLT Medallion Award. Nancy wrote a total of four futuristic romances for Dorchester before switching to mysteries.
Her popular Bad Hair Day series features hairdresser Marla Shore, who solves crimes with wit and style under the sultry Florida sun. Killer Knots and Perish by Pedicure are the latest titles in this humorous series. A featured speaker at conferences, libraries and community groups, Nancy is listed in Contemporary Authors, Poets & Writers, and Who’s Who in U.S. Writers, Editors & Poets. She has served as President of Florida Romance Writers, and as Secretary for the Florida Chapter of Mystery Writers of America.
Nancy is an active member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, Romance Writers of America, Novelists, Inc., International Thriller Writers and The Author’s Guild. Her latest release, Silver Serenade, is a sexy futuristic romance and her fifteenth title. Coming next is Shear Murder, a new Bad Hair Day mystery, in January 2012 from Five Star.
Nancy and her husband are empty-nesters who live in the Ft. Lauderdale area. When she is not busy writing, Nancy enjoys fine dining, outlet shopping, cruising and schmoozing with fellow writers.

9th Annual Authors & Books Festival and Naples Writers' Conference
The Festival will be held on the weekend of April 9 and 10 in downtown Naples. The “Book Fair” dimension of the Festival will be held on one day only, Saturday April 9. Authors and publishers who wish to exhibit will be paired with downtown merchants, creating a moveable book feast along Fifth Avenue South. Three exhibitors will be scheduled in each participating merchant’s location, each one filling one of three 3-hour shifts as follows: noon-3pm, 3pm-6pm, and 6pm-9pm. With over 20 participating merchants, this plan will allow for up to 60 authors/publishers to exhibit.
